From pristine to non-functional, every device has value. Here is how we categorize conditions and what to expect.
Device looks and functions like new. No scratches, scuffs, dents, or screen imperfections. Battery health is above 85%. All buttons, cameras, speakers, and ports work perfectly.
Highest payout tier
Minor signs of normal use -- light scratches on the back or sides that are not visible when the screen is on. No cracks. All functions work correctly. Battery health above 80%.
Strong payout tier
Visible wear such as noticeable scratches, small dents, or cosmetic blemishes. Screen is intact (no cracks). Device is fully functional. Battery may show reduced capacity.
Moderate payout tier
Cracked screen, water damage, battery issues, non-responsive buttons, or device that will not power on. We still pay for broken devices -- valuable components can be recovered and recycled.

Prepare Your Device
Follow this checklist to ensure a smooth transaction and the fastest possible payment.
Back Up Your Data
Transfer photos, contacts, messages, and app data to the cloud or another device before shipping. For iPhone, use iCloud Backup. For Android, use Google Backup. For Mac, use Time Machine or iCloud.
Sign Out of All Accounts
Sign out of iCloud, Google, Samsung, and any other accounts on the device. For iPhones, go to Settings > [Your Name] > Sign Out. For Android, go to Settings > Accounts. This is critical -- devices locked to an account cannot be processed.
Disable Find My / Factory Protection
Turn off Find My iPhone, Find My Device (Android), or Samsung Find My Mobile. If this is not disabled before shipping, we cannot complete the inspection and will need to return your device.
Remove SIM Card & Memory Card
Eject and keep your SIM card and any external memory cards. You will need your SIM for your new phone. We are not responsible for SIM or SD cards left in devices.
Factory Reset (Optional)
While not required -- we perform a certified data wipe on every device -- a factory reset before shipping gives you additional peace of mind. For iPhone: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content.
Pack Securely
Use a padded envelope or small box with bubble wrap or paper padding. Accessories like chargers and cases are not needed and will not affect your payout. Just the device itself is sufficient.

Every BuyBack quote is valid for 14 days from the date it is generated. Market prices fluctuate, so we recommend shipping your device as soon as possible to lock in your current offer. If your quote expires, you can generate a new one at any time.
If our inspection reveals that the device condition differs from what was originally described, we will issue a revised offer that reflects the actual condition. You are under no obligation to accept the revised offer. If you decline, we ship your device back to you completely free of charge.
No. We only need the device itself. Chargers, cables, boxes, and cases are not required and will not increase your payout. Including accessories does not affect your quote in any way.
